PAPER CUT
Writing this essay was defiantly a challenge at first, but once Preston began to explain and describe each section for the essay it became a little more easier and understanding and also cutting each section up and making one at a time due through out the week that gave me the ability to figure out what my point of view was and how to write the essay on racisim. At this moment I am at the last section of the final paper and it was alot more easier having notes on each topic it gave me the oppurtunity to re read what I learned. The challenging part for me is putting what I think of into a sentence.

CONNECTING THE DOTS
My initial reaction towards the "Racial Profiling" paper was really overwhelming to even think of doing right as I got home from my camping trip and on top of the fact of Dr. Preston's absence the 2 days it was assigned and the unknowing of exactly what to write a 10 to 12 page essay on Racial Profiling. For my personal passion, I am strongly involved in photography and would like to become a photographer for either " Rolling Stone Magazine " or any high fashion magazine since I am really interested in fashion myself. I also have been pondering on sociology as a future career I took a class my sophomore and beginning of junior year with the psychology/sociology teacher at Santa Maria High School and since then i've been really interested in the field. For linking this to "Racial Profiling i'm still unsure how to do so especially with the photography concept. But i'am sure that Dr. Preston and I will be discussing this soon.

Netvibes jah feel the vibe?!
I don't really believe I will use Netvibes very much during my personal time. But it is a resourceful source to see all your interests, news, social media, etc. on one page, it does make seeing things in that such a lot easier. It does look very organized especially if you have your social media widgets in one column and news for say in another column next to it for easier viewing. On my net vibes I have widgets as; Facebook, Behance, weather.com,MTV news, Rolling Stones magazine news, sound cloud, a widget to save and find my bookmarks easier, to do list, gmail, wikipedia, CBS news, and USA today. I also have a tab for photography pages that interest me and give me information and post photographers photos and comments on the art form.

LIT. ANALYSIS #1
NONFICTION ANALYSIS
TOPIC(S) and/or EVENT(S)
1. My book A Million Little Pieces by: James Frey is about the author, James Frey life dealing with alcoholism and drug abuse. Waking up on a plane not aware of his surroundings, who he is, or where he is. James Frey then gets assisted by a flight attendant into his parents care once at the airport destination his parents then tell him they are taking him to a rehabilitation unit to get cured with his addictions. During James fight against addiction and his life, James goes through harassment from the other group members, dealing with his past, and realizing its either drugs and alcohol and the poor lifestyle he lived which will lead to death if partaken one more time or recovering and learning to accept himself and living the life he has never lived. Being sober, healthy, and a brand new start at life.
2. I believe the author choose to write about his experiences due to it being so intense and having a huge impact and reaction to the reader, like it did to me.
3. I choose this book because i saw this books cover and it was interesting so i grabbed it from my grandmas book shelf and began to read the description, the description itself was intense and once I read the first page I just kept wanting to know what would happen next, what the author dealt with, and how he did so.
4. I most defintly find this book realisitic. But one thing is I did not have any connections to the book since i am not a drug addict, alcholic, nor are the people I surround myself in my life.
PEOPLE
1. The book does not have any fiction charachters every one in the book is an actual person James Frey meet in his life. So, each person he describes really is seemed that way as he saw them. The author choices of people show how it was for him during his life filled with junkies, users, whores, and just negative people. But once he was at the rehab center the junkies and addicts were becoming ex users men and women who most put there faith in god, the nurse's , doctors, and counselrs.
2. Lily was a ex user who was in the rehab center for help she had long black hair and arctic ice blue colored eyes she had black circles around her eyes and scars on her wrists she wore a black baggy sweater two times her size black pants also seemed 2 times her size and a pair of black combat boots. Lincoln was the Unit Supervisor or the rehab unit, he had a thick body with muscles and has short black spiky hair, he wore large black boots, faded black jeans and a black shirt that has a picture of a harley, on the front reads " Ride Hard, Ride Sober.". Lily was a sweet women who seemed innocent but had saddens in her eyes, she was quit shy. Lincoln was a big man almost biker like big and husky he put off a hard look and feel but James wasn't scared of him.
3. Well first of all Lily doesn't seem like a women who would do such harm to her fragile tiny body she seems like an innocent women. And Lincoln is a man who only pulls a front a once user but now believes that the world is in his hands.
STYLE
1. The author I believe used journalistic styles do to his every thought of memories and used chronilogical order.
2. The author uses lengthy descriptions to describe the individuals. They show how the author is showing and putting his all out to the reader describing even the horrific of moments.
3. The author uses tons of anger, frustration, sadness, addiction, low self esteem, and negativity showing the hardship of his life and within himself.
4. He had different attitudes towards the charachters its hard to say.
5. The author does use a few resources one i remember is an alcholic annoynomus book he read of the mans story who began the program how he was an alcholic then put his faith in god and changed his whole life for the better.
DURING MEMORY
One passage I remeber from the book the author had a "drug dream" where he wakes up in a friends house with a few bottles next to him a pile of cocaine on the coffee table, some crack rock, a pipe, glue, and a revolver. He first drinks the liquor it makes him feel better then he gets back to feeling horrible to feeling better after each swig then horrible once it hit he repeated each step until it was all gone he subsided to the cocaine and put his face sniffing up as much as he could until his nose bled and did so until it wouldn't stop bleeding he continued to the crack rock and pipe began to pack the rock in the pipe then began to smoke until the bag or crack was empty he then ended with the glue got up and thre w up overdosing on his friends bathroom floor then waking up with such anger and regret on himself.

WILL STUDY FOR FOOD
The reason why I need scholarships is it will make entering an expensive art college for say Brooks a whole lot easier on myself and my family. Education is expensive and I don't want money to be the issue with my family and I for me entering 4 year education. I am not sure how much I would like to earn from a scholarship just yet. I do have $10,000 saved for college from my great grandfather so that will most defiantly help and go towards my education.

ESSAY IDEA
What is your belief on life? Is it possible for us as humans to manifest our own destiny or not what is your opinion?
I believe we can incorrpuret this in class by having a class discussion and hearing everyone's opinion then finilizing what your opinion is and beliefs. Then, begging to find evidence and writing your essay. This is all based upon your own personal opinion.

TEXT ANALYSIS #1
Obesity I realized isn't just an issue in the U.S., but all around the world. In my opinion there is numerous ways to stand up to obesity its just people these days have lost the drive and motivation. Society now are just so close minded and hopeless, a "cry for help". In my readings and searching on an art blog for "stop obesity" promotions. It came across my mind why do individuals do such harm to themselves? Why must we indulge into such foods us humans make? Why must we be so unhealthy? The answers to these question is laziness and how easy life really is during this futuristic time. We have such things as microwaves, frozen foods, and the worst of them fast food restaurants. This Leads to why the hell not use these 3 decent ways to eat a meal?! Which causes the obesity scene. Natural and organic foods need to come to the worlds conclusion and be used, we have such clean healthy resources that need to be neglected.

REFLECTIONS ON WEEK 1
1. I believe there will not be anything that will effect my work in school this year, I plan on trying my hardest this year and not letting personal issues effect my education. I have my own personal laptop and have interent access so I don't believe that will be an issue. But, I do not have a smartphone just a simple text and call cellphone so if I were to be somewhere away from my computer I won't be able top check my blog or emails. My transportation is supported by my grandfather and aunt who I live with and understand that my ways of getting to school is on them. My friends and family support any dream I have and if they ever plan not too I still won't ever change my perspective. My schedule doesn't consist of much as the past besides photography, and music I don't have a full schedule.
2. I must say my best learning experience have had to be last year, my junior year in the English Lit. class with Dr. Preston. At first I seemed to be an eager and get down student but I began to slack off. Until, Dr. Preston began to inhabit our passions into our learning that really caught my eye since I was able to enable the one thing I have the drive for, photography into my learning of modernism.
3. I'm most excited for what projects Dr. Preston has in store for us and all the great teachings he has for us to learn by. I believe it will make a practical difference in my life by seeing what I as a person can do just by one blog, one voice, and one mind.

A TRULY INTERESTING PIECE OF NON-FICTION
The interesting piece of non-fiction I read was about one of my favorite bands, The Velvet Underground. From reading this I learned that the band was cited by many critics as one of the most influential groups of the 1960's. The Velvet Underground album sold only 30,000 copies in its early years, but everyone who bough one of those 30,000 copies soon after began a band of there own. The most interesting fact from them all is the manager of the band was, Andy Warhol who's known as a famous pop artist.

WHAT IS EXPOSITORY COMPOSITION?
Expository composition is a type of writing where the purpose is explained and described.
MY BIG QUESTION!!!
My big question is, Does God exist? Where did we come from? What made us? Was it really two human beings such as Adam and Eve who made us? Was it mammals such as monkeys? or is it just atoms and molecules and the power of the universe who had made us humans and our planets were surrounded by.

The relevance of this quote to this course is explaining what us as seniors must do to not just begin our senior year but to begin our future.
