1. The book I read is Into The Wild by: Jon Krakauer, The book is based upon an Chris McCandless who after graduating Emory University decided to lose all communication with his family and leave all civil living to begin his adventure hitchhiking to the Stampede Trail in Alaska to live in the wilderness away from people, chaos and live in peace of nature and the wilderness. Chris McCandless was a intelligent young gentlemen graduating at top of his class at Emory University but it still wasn't what Chris wanted to do, he decided the next day of graduating to grab all of his money he had to continue his education and leave his suburban town of Annandale, Virginia and family to leave freely. He packed up his Datsun only consisting of his backpack containing his wallet holding his identification cards, social security card, his money, and a library card. Also having a whole bag of rice, riffle, a pack of clothing, and a fishing pole. But suddenly once he began his journey he stopped to sleep but suddenly he awakes from water rushing into his car. Having to abandon it he began his journey by foot. During his voyage from walking from town to town, city to city, and dessert to dessert he meet very interesting individuals on his way enlightening them by his good vibes and motivation. Once in Alaska Chris enjoyed his first few months but then suddenly the non existence of another human began to grow company was what Chris began to miss. Suddenly food began to grow scarce and Chris was begging to realize he must go back home. So wilderness man Chris packed his stuff up and began to head home suddenly he heard the noise of a thick water-stream pulling and pushing with force and the only way to go home is through that river but know Chris is stuck he heads back to his Van that was excistant when he first arrived to Alaska which included a bed, books, and some essentials. He had to live literally of the land eating fruits, and plants but one day the manual that Chris owned describing which plant was edible and not he mistaken a twig as edible and that was the end of it it began to make Chris body frail away each day he was living his body was dying more and more then suddenly Chris's life turned to a beautiful end.
2. The author Jon Krakauer wrote about the young man due writing an article on Chris McCandless entitled "Death of an Innocent he was intreged by Chris's life and voyage and decided to make the 9,000 word article into a book.
3. I choose this book because I seen the movie a week before I went to the Santa Maria Library and it intreged me very much and I decided to read the book and know the story by every detail and not miss what the movie was missing. This book right when I began to read it I was hooked I realized Chris and I have alot in common and I just wanted to know more of his journey and experiences.
4. I most defiantly find this book realistic. I did find a connection with Chris the main character due to this because he just wanted to do what made him happy disregarding what others said and wanted him to do I am the same way If I have a dream which I do i'm going to do it it's what i want if it means loosing people in my life then that's what will happen, which was exactly how Chris was.
